Trekking in the Everest Region
The Everest itself is the identity of Nepal to know in the world. Mt. Everest is standing as great wall between Nepal and Tibet autonomous region of China has remained a challenge for the centuries for the human beings. Apart from North pole and South pole the MT. Everest and the Himalayas are regarded as the Third Pole of the Earth. The valley is situated in extreme high elevation, the massive valleys, glaciers, hills, terraces, rivers, rivulets and cascades and numerous icy peaks of this region and their natural surroundings have turned this place to be the most beautiful in the Earth, which is well known in the world as Khumbu region the name derived from the Khumbu glacier.
Densely inhabited by the Sherpa settlement, one of the ethnic group of Mongoloid origin. Sherpas are the synonym of the mountains as more than 60% of Himalayan peak climbers are Sherpas. Sherpas are not only brave climbers, they have most wonderful culture and daily life style. They are the follower of Buddhism and the group who have played leading roll prevail peace message of Tibetan Buddhism in the country. In fact, Sherpa culture gives you real feeling of spiritual way of life. You can feel soul of god even on an each pieces of stone when you will be passing coulourful stones carved with peace pray to the living being of earth. Everest region is conserved as Sagarmatha (Everest in Nepali) national park, welcomes you at the entrance gate of Jorsalle just below Namchebazar. Namchebazar is the capital of highlanders or Sherpas. People of Namche and beyond are especially professionalised in mountain tourism sector. Another remarkable place of the region is Tyangboche monastery, the most active culture and religious center in the area. Tyangboche is the proof of prevailation of Tibetan Buddhism in the country and also it's one of the most photogenic spots in the world.
