Around Dhaulagiri:
Dhaulagiri, which means ‘the large mountain’, dominates the western Nepalese Himalaya. It lies off the beaten track with the Kaligandaki River and Annapurna in the east and the Dolpo region further west.
Our adventure of circling Dhaulagiri starts at the lower altitude of 1300m. The road head is reached after an hour's drive from Kathmandu and our path visits numerous beautiful villages situated along the terraced hills before emerging into seasonal high pastures and finally high Himalayan valleys to reach the Dhaulagiri base camp. From the base camp the trek heads north east and crosses some of the tremendeous Himalayan passes such as French Pass, Dhampus pass and .... before dropping down to Kaligandaki valley. The trek ends at Nayapul where most Annapurna trips end.
