Mountaineering in the Himalayas
Himalaya is the largest mountain range in the world and Nepal is the country, which consists largest part of the Himalaya. Among 14 of the peaks above 8000meters 8 including the highest one, the Everest is in Nepal Himalaya. Besides these highest peaks there are more than a thousand other picks in different ranges from Kanchanjungha in the eastern border to Saipal in the west; within the distance of 850km. Mountains in Nepal in fact are always a challenge for the mountaineers from all over the world. This is why Himalayan peaks are the unanimous destinations for mountaineers from every corner of the world. As a result every year more than 4 hundred expeditions trudge up to put the flag of success on top of them.

Expedition Permit:
No peaks can be climbed in Nepal without proper permission from the respective government. To obtain an expedition permit from the Ministry of Tourism following documents should be submitted along with: bio-data of each member indicating past experience, photograph of the peak to be scaled showing the route, trekking route up to base camp and royalty as per the rule fixed by the Ministry of Tourism and civil aviation.
To proceed the expedition trip the clients should contact registered trekking agency as their liaison firm in Kathmandu. Himalayan Pilgrimage will cater each and every need to complete the procedure on behalf of interested clients.

The royalty has to be paid to ministry tourism through the registered trekking agency.
In order to maintain eco-friendly expeditions the Ministry of Tourism has set a deposit amount for various peaks (as per their height) and the deposit amount is returned to climbers after completing their expeditions.
Fact about Mountaineering in the Himalayas
Small and Mid Range Peaks for Novice Climbers or Active Trekkers!
All together 33 peaks below (or around) 6500mtr / 21320ft are opened as trekking peaks. Trekking peaks are easy (well in the sense of mountaineering), where expeditions are completed within 3 to 4 weeks. The fees are minimal and logistics and permits are readily available. Heavy Weave-out on Royalty!
Tourism Ministry of Nepal has announced to exempt royalty for ascending certain peaks with the view of giving opportunity to mountaineers from every where and promoting these new peaks.
There are 20 peaks where the 100% royalty is free and 40 others with75% exemption of the existing royalty. Among these peaks many are not climbed and never explored. Indeed we are looking for exploring partners for some peaks. If you are interested for such exploration programme please, post your inquiry to us.
Choice of climbing from hundreds of peaks!
More than 250 peaks are opened for climbing within Nepal alone! Apart from this many peaks are opened recently from Tibet side as well. The peaks opened for climbing are ranged from 6000 mtr to 8848 (Mt. Everest) offer ample opportunity to the mountaineers of all level. There are many peaks yet to be conquered and many yet to be permitted for climbing activates.
