Buddhist Circuit
Rediscovering Buddha's Legacy
This trip Rediscovering Buddha's Legacy, popularly known as Buddhist Circuit is regarded as the ultimate pilgrimage trip for Buddhists living all around the world. This Circuit extends over two countries (Viz. Nepal and India) that stretches from Lumbini, which lies in the southern belt of Nepal and heads down to the Gangetic plain into the State of Uttar Pradesh of India visiting Sravasti and Kushinagar then to Rajgir, Nalanda and Bodhgaya of Bihar state in India. After Bodhgaya the trip heads back to Saranath (near Varanasi) where Buddha had taught his first teaching.
The trip we have designed is not only limited to ancient pilgrimage sites; it actually starts at Kathmandu the capital of Nepal where one can observe the open museum of Buddhist – Hindu art and architecture of medieval period, meditating caves of ancient times and amazing culture of local people. In the other hand the trip offers an option to visit Dharmsala the hub of exiled Tibetan community, seat of HH Dalai lama and emerging centre of Dharma in the modern world. Whether you take the extended portion of the trip or shorter one, the trip concludes at New Delhi the capital of India from where you will return home or choose other destinations.
It's the rare chance for any Buddhists to be able to take part in such a journey which provides not only with the glimpse of what it must have been like in those days but also gives us the sense of how Buddha went about searching for the Truth and finally attaining Nirvana. This trip is not only for those devout Buddhists, but also for the students and teachers of Buddhism, Buddhist studies and persons who are interested in Buddhist Philosophies as well as to the people who are interested in different cultures of this part of the world.
