Bhaktapur
is situated about 14km outside of Kathmandu city. Bhaktapur
means the city of devotees, the people of Bhaktapur
are very famous for their own unique culture and friendly
nature. It is a home of medieval art and architecture.
Pottery and weaving are its traditional industries.

Durbar Square:
Similarly important
and ancient to Kathmandu and Patan, with many temples
and shrines, golden gates and other historic monuments.
Nyatapol Temple:
It is the five storied
pagoda-style temple of Goddess Laxmi built in the 17th
century by a Malla King. It stands on a five terraced
platform. On each of the terraces sit a pair of figures.
Changu Narayan Temple:
This outstanding
historic temple stands about 6 KM north west from the
city of Bhaktapur. This is where the first ever written
document of Nepalese historic document in stone slab
was found and it can be witnessed even now. The wood
carving or temple, architecture and the spectacular
view of the Kathmandu valley is seen from here.
